I'm experienced in writing strategic Audience Development and Marketing Plans, helping organisations to identify areas for growth and reaching out to new audiences and communities. During the redevelopment of Colchester Castle, I recruited and managed audience advisory panels to feed into designs. I have also delivered numerous social media training events for SHARE Museums East.

Cultural education and learning had been at the heart of my practice since the beginning. I am experienced working with under-5s through to university groups and adult learners. I particularly enjoy designing new workshops, creating resources and delivering to audiences. I have recruited and managed Teachers' Advisory Panels, run Arts Award accredited projects and trained colleagues in delivery techniques.

I've supported numerous local museums and charities to review and update their governance, conduct trustee skills audits and strategically recruit new board members. I'm also experienced in supporting boards to develop and write their missions, aims and forward plans.

I'm experienced in audience and project evaluation, including reporting to funders like NLHF. I use a variety of data-collection techniques, and scale the process to the size of the project. I work with the organisation to design a framework which meets their needs and those of their stakeholders.

I have designed and delivered a wide range of community engagement projects with audiences in London and the East of England. I am particularly passionate about co-creation, working with audiences to create projects which meet their needs as well as those of the organisation. I'm experienced in running both one-off events, and complex multi-year activity programmes.

As a former Museum Development Officer, I have a thorough understanding of the Accreditation process. I am experienced in writing Arts Council-approved policies, procedures and plans, training staff and volunteers in the process, and advocating on the importance of Accreditation.

I'm an experienced facilitator of conferences, away days and events. I have delivered training to cultural organisation staff and volunteers on a range of topics including audience engagement, object based learning, reminiscence, and engaging audiences. 

I have written multiple successful applications to cultural sector funding organisations including the National Lottery, Arts Council England, the Museums Association, and Essex County Council, as well as from private funders such as NCP.
